Where is the MP for Kalansogoia?

MP accuses Paramount Chief of embezzlement

The Paramount Chief of Gbo Chiefdom, P.C. Tutu Fawundu and P.C. Desmond Kagobai of Selenga Chiefdom both in the Bo District, have come under scathing attack by the Member of Parliament for Constituency 77, Hon. Paul Kamara for alleged misappropriation of nineteen bundles of corrugated iron zinc. The zinc was meant for the construction of a quarter for the Health Centre at Baima town and a school building for Gualla village in the Gbo Chiefdom, together with five bundles meant for another building project for Dambala, the chiefdom headquarter town of Selenga Chiefdom .
Speaking in a radio broadcast over Radio KISS 104 FM in Bo, Hon. Paul Kamara said that out of the nineteen bundles in question, seven bundles each were for the School and the quarter for the Health Centre in the two towns in Gbo Chiefdom, while the remaining five bundles were meant for the building work in Selenga Chiefdom, all respectively entrusted to each of the two Paramount Chiefs in question.
Explaining further, Hon. Paul Kamara expressed deep disappointment over the alleged misuse of the zinc, and that all efforts made to get the two Chiefs produce the items, have failed and called for an intensive investigation.
He described the practice on the part of the Paramount Chiefs as a calculated ploy to sabotage his good intention to contribute meaningfully to the development in his Constituency which, he stated, is in dire need of infrastructural development.
He therefore promised to do all in his power to let the Chiefs produce the nine bundles of zinc
Speaking to Awoko News, P.C. Kagobai of Selenga Chiefdom was quick to dismiss the PMDC Member of Parliament and further promised to call up a joint Press Conference together with P.C. Tutu Fawundu of Gbo Chiefdom, with the view of explaining the entire accusation and above all to properly throw light on the
whole issue.
There has been no independent verification of the above accusation except that various people spoken to say the rift between the Paramount Chiefs and the MP for Constituency 77 is not good to write home about which analysts say is not good for the development of war-torn chiefdoms, and henceforth called for an end to the hostilities.

When is the media going to give Kalansogoia a fair coverage?

Paramount and Town Chiefs clash over mining site

Town and Section Chiefs, Chiefdom Speakers and Elders have unanimously agreed to depose the Town Chief of Gbojeima Town in the Simbaru Chiefdom Kenema District, Chief Mohamed Kortuwa at a Chiefdom meeting held at the Court Barry in Boajibu Town on Monday 27th June 2011.
The meeting came about as a result of a dispute between the Paramount Chief of Simbaru chiefdom, P.C. Mamie G. Gamanga and one of her Town Chiefs, Mohamed Kortuwa of Gbojeima Town over the Sewa River bed for mining purpose.
The present ugly development in the Chiefdom has given cause to the Chiefs and other Chiefdom authorities throwing their weight behind the Paramount Chief in the matter, maintaining that the Sewa River bed belongs to the Paramount Chief as custodian of the Chiefdom who has the power to authorize any mining activity along the Sewa River in her Chiefdom.
In the meeting held at the Court Barry in Simbaru Chiefdom, several reasons were given by the Chiefdom authorities as a yardstick for disposing the Town Chief.
A chiefdom authority, Bockarie Koroma, maintained that the Town Chief, Mohamed Kortuwa, went on the media and made several allegations against the Paramount Chief without any justification.
The Paramount Chief of Simbaru Chiefdom, Madam Mamie Gamanga, while reacting to the allegations to the press said all the issues raised by the Town Chief Mohamed Kortuwa are absolutely incorrect.
She revealed that a special committee has been formed in her Chiefdom to ensure the eradication of illicit mining in the Chiefdom and to ensure the efficient utilization of the Chiefdom Fund so that all in the chiefdom will benefit.
Chief Mohamed Kortuwa, the Town Chief of Gbojeima Town who was deposed in absentia, could not be reached at the time of writing this report for his reaction.

A NEW BLOG THAT FOLLOWS OUR BLOG

Fellow citizens of Kalansogoia, below is a statement by on of our brothers wanting for us to follow a blog he created. But read for yourselves and make your contributions. It will be followed by my response at the bottom of the page.

Dear Brothers abd sisters from Kalangsogoia,

I am hereby informing all, bot at home and abroad, of a worldwide forum I launched last year to bring together all descendants of Kalangsogoia and especially old boys and girls of St Mathew´s Sec. Sch. Bumbuna. Subscrition into the forum is by an email address without which one can´t be able to reach neither the group, nor be able access the forum. Sould anyone be interested to join our global "Ideas For The Future (IFTF) Forum," kindly contact me directly on:kargboal@hotmail.com You can also reach me on the following: +49 251 323 6163 (Home), or +49 176 77 55 02 37 (Mobile).
Looking forward to reading from you soon.

Sorry, I failed to edit the text before posting. There is one word I need to edit mostly and it´s "Subscrition". A "p" should be immediately after the first "i". Hence, SUBSCRIPTION. If you want to know more about the forum, you may need to contact me either by phone or by email. For the sake of privacy and security, our forum is not accessible on line like this one here. Then I must, right from the onset, make this point clear: anything anonymous has no place in our forum. For the forum is meant to gather ideas and initiatives from all members as we chat the way forward for our township and chiefdom. This is only one of our administrative rules on the forum. Feel free to contact me. It is time to make a difference in our region. A time to get drawn ahead and be saved, or to get left behind and be lost.

Warm regards,

Aloysius A. B. Kargbo

Hello Mr. Kargbo, welcome to Bumbuna connect the forum for the voiceless. Thank you for the concern of both privacy and security of individuals wanting to make comments on our blog and that of yours. This was probably the reason why "anonymous" is filled in for our forum. We all know the man hunt that people may suffer in the hands of those dictators who see others as a threat to them for not siding with them. As recently as last month a proactive citizen of chiefdom arrived to the rescue of our people that were jailed for standing for their rights. The pounds sterling aid of the dictator in town together used the authority in Freetown to falsely detain the people's person by making false statements of him. As you may already know, the poor never have a right to hold accountable the authority that swells their accounts in London with proceeds from the chiefdom. Instead of the "virtual chief" bragging to be a peace maker, he is instead bragging around town as the mentor for false allegations. But we will regroup and the people's voices will soon take control as in Tunisia and Egypt.
For this reason, we wanted a forum where people can choose to be anonymous or can identify themselves when making comments. If your blog is about calling things the way they are, I encourage you to post the link to your blog and allow people to read and decide to make comments if they so choose. If you restrict your bloggers, I guarantee you will have zero follow up. What I did was allow for people to post things and if found to be of none substance, I just edit the blog and delete the posting. Also, I noticed a few typos besides subscription. KALANSOGOIA is vital to get spelt right at all times. Again welcome hoping to read from you again.

A lesson: for the dictators in Bumbuna and beyond!

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi called Tuesday for his supporters to take back the streets from anti-government protesters and vowed to fight on and die as a "martyr."
Gadhafi spoke as U.S. officials confirmed reports by NBC News' Richard Engel, who has managed to enter the country from Egypt, that part of the east of Libya has "fallen" to the protesters and was no longer controlled by the central government.
The officials confirmed that military units had defected to side with the protesters and that a major tribe crucial to the dictator's survival said they would not back Gadhafi because of his brutal treatment of the people.

At some point, the people will rise they will demand freedom, they will demand justice!!!

Be warned!!

2011 THE BEGINING OF PROGRESS IN KALANSOGOIA

Fellow descendants, as the year comes to close, I wish to thank all contributors for all the inputs and responses to this blog. I want to especially be grateful to those of us that have chosen to be part of our people by at a minimum discussing the issues as they happen back home. For those that think sitting on the fence is the right option, I encourage you all to think back and not forget that, our contributions will one day pay off. I am conscious of the fact that, some descendants have chosen to be quiet because they are fairly comfortable in their corners and that; they need not be part of a discussion in this nature. But I will again ask that we all put our ideas and efforts together to correct the mistakes that are affecting the majority of our families, friends and peers. Kalansogoia deserves better and for the number of descendants currently residing out side of the township, be it in Europe, USA, Australia and so on........we can do better! Let us come in as a group from the same mother land. Let us use technology to unite us.......when we are divided, only a few will profit......let us unite for we are all ONE!

Secondly, it was clearly demonstrated by a majority of the bloggers that "peace" is paramount in the chiefdom. We need to level with our PC and the PC needs to see the need for a united Kalansogoia. As a result, I encourage you all to please show support and suggestions on a way forward. We have had a chance to vent our grievances on the previous blog now is the time to turn into a way forward. Ideas on how we could make a single community of all descendants no matter the distance from each other. Let us concentrate on this peace effort. Mohamed Koroma, PC Bockarie and Daniel Turay are currently within reach could we start somewhere? I will initiate a call to the PC to get a feel of passion for peace and I will return to the blog with answers by 26/12/2010 could somebody else try the other parties so that we get a feed back and arrange for a common day for real talks. There are very credible Paramount chiefs and functionaries that could help in the mediation. Thanks to Brima and David Sesay for their wonderful contributions. Daniel, please continue the info...to the blog. Selati, be there for the people, John continue a constructive opposition, Famata, keep up the presence. Blake, keep your thoughts flowing. Others, lets criticize to construct!

Let’s move forward we can do this......God bless you all and enjoy your holidays...be safe,,,

NEXT BLOG TOPIC: AS FREETOWN HOMES ENJOY ELECTRICITY FROM BUMBUNA, BUMBUNA HOMES STILL IN THE DARK (ONLY PUBLIC AREAS ARE ELECTRIFIED IN BUMBUNA)!

fellow bloggers, i must first of all apologize for not being able to update you on the call to the PC on 12/26/2010 due to an overload in hoilday programs. I hope to get this done as soon as possible.

Secondly, there continue to be a technical issue with people wanting to post comments but are either exited from the system or an error message appears. I am working to correcting this issue but i will ask that, you keep trying to post your comments as they are making impacts back home. People are becoming more aware and are stepping up for their rights. Rememer the said $2m dollar machery that was alleged burnt? Has anyone seen a photo of this? Has anyone wondered why even the press in Sierra Leone have not seen this Machine? Has anyone wondered if any authorities  have seen this machine even as our brothers continue to languish in jails in Makeni?

Descendants United

Dear bloggers, i noticed a technical issue during postings of your comments. i ask that, you first copy your comment before attempting to post it. You could paste it again if for some reason it did not post. I will edit multiple post with the same subjects from time to time and i will try to paste your comments even late after i am notified of your posting's failure.

current time in KALANSOGOIA  http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=85
I am starting this blog to bring together descendants of Kalansogoia Chiefdom to a common place where we can all exchange ideas on how we as united people can bring positive change to our home town. Recently, Bumbuna has again emerged in the news papers on how we have the largest deposit of Iron Ore in Africa. There is currently a mining company {African Minerals} ready to start mine these minerals. What do we do to ensure, that, i people get the benefit of these minerals? please click on link for details

 http://www.african-minerals.com/Corporate/Operations/Tonkolili_Iron_Ore_Project/default.aspx?id=726

What can we do to ensure that, the land owners never remain in huts as these huge company make millions of dollars from that land? I am suggesting that, for every six town lots mined, an infrastructure be built. Example for the first six lots, a modern hospital be built in the township by the company. For the second set of town lot, a modern computer lab be built. For the third set, a rest house be built. For the forth, an ambulance be provided to the township. For the fifth set, a school bus be provided to serve all schools.

On this other link, you will find all contributions already given by African minerals to the chiefdom. Are those socio development shared evenly to all? What is the land cruiser used for (an ambulance). what about scholarships should they be of a choice or merit. Lets say pa-sories daughter does excellent in school but the chiefdom authorities do not like pa-sorie should pa-sorie's daughter still deserve a scholarship? we used to know that, when you lead a class you become the first to earn a scholarship... lets discuss these we can make an impact.

what are your thoughts lets make some ideas work then we can find a way to implement them.

please write a comment by clicking on "comment" at the bottom for feed back. Click on anonymous if you wish to stay anonymous!

please follow link below for the latest. How many of these jobs will be reserved for the descendants of the chiefdom? what can you do to influence the decision making?
